This innovative bingo game, created by Janie Haugen-McLane,
features the 80 signs found in Survival Signs Curriculum.
These fun games are especially effective with individuals with
limited or no reading skills. The full-color signs are ideally
suited for visual learners. Both games are effective to use as a
review of Survival Signs before and after community outings.
The games are for use with pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and
elementary-age school students of all abilities; middle and high
school students with developmental disabilities and learning
differences; adults with developmental disabilities and in "life
skills" reading programs; and for students of all ages in
English-as-a-second language (ESL) classes.
Contents
Each easy-to-play bingo game includes 20 full-color Bingo Boards, 40
full-color Bingo Calling Cards, 1 Bingo Matching Mat, 1 reproducible
Winner's Chart, 180 plastic chip markers, and a Teacher's
Instruction Guide that includes a reproducible Pre/Post Assessment.
Indoor Signs Bingo Game
This game assists individuals in recognizing survival signs they
need to know when choosing a restroom, determining wheelchair
accessibility of a building, entering or leaving a store, using
stairs or elevators in a high-rise building, on a trip to the mall,
at school, at work, approaching a wet floor, leaving a building
during a fire drill or actual fire, locating a water fountain, using
the escalator at a hotel, and more.
