Featuring 150 full-color illustrations of common objects, this interactive bingo game teaches students key describing words for each of the five senses. The 30 objects featured for each sense generate a wide variety of descriptors to help build students' vocabulary. VISUAL CUES The bingo boards and spinner feature easily identifiable icons for the five senses, making the game easy to play and appropriate for students who have limited or no reading skills. HOW GAME WORKS Five Senses Bingo combines aspects of a board game and a bingo game. Each of the six bingo boards has a different set of 25 illustrated objects. Players spin for one of the five senses. Once a category is selected, the player points to an object on his or her board in the given category. The teacher first asks the player to identify the object. Then, the teacher prompts the player to describe the object based on the appropriate sense. An example of a prompt for taste is "How does the pickle taste?" Players describe each object according to a particular sense, using one or more describing words. For example, in the "Touch" category, a player might describe a pillow as fluffy. • SIGHT Includes objects such as mountain, clown, and flowers. A student might describe a mountain as tall. • SMELL Includes objects such as campfire, garbage, and perfume. A student might say a campfire smells smoky. • TASTE Includes objects such as pickle, potato chips, and apple. A student might say a pickle tastes sour. • TOUCH Includes objects such as feather, pencil, and snow. A student might say a feather feels soft. • SOUND Includes objects such as jet, rain, and dog. A student might describe a jet as loud.
