VoicePal 8
Designed specifically for developmentally disabled individuals and others with cognitive, speech, or related deficits
Designed specifically for developmentally disabled individuals and
others with cognitive deficits, anyone with a speech, or related,
disability can benefit from the VoicePal 8. The VoicePal 8 provides
a means of expressing basic needs and facilitates choice selection.
With Taction Pads, messages can play by touching nearly any object
or surface. For example, touching a baseball would cause the
VoicePal 8 to say "I'd like to play ball now." You are limited only
by your imagination. With the VoicePal 8, you can record eight
eleven-second messages. Recording on the VoicePal 8 is easy and
messages can be recorded in any order. The VoicePal 8 is "on" 24
hours a day and will never lose messages even if the batteries go
completely dead. With normal use four AAA alkaline batteries will
last several months.
The VoicePal 8 is shown with a Large Pal Pad and a soda can. The
VoicePal 8 is a great device to utilize object-based communication.
Delayed Activation
Requires a Taction Pad or external switch to be held for 0 to 2.5
seconds. This allows the operator time to first identify objects
when using Taction Pads before actually selecting a message.

Choose to have messages play only once or repeat 10 times if the
Taction Pads or external switch is continually held down.
