Daily Reading Comprehension Books
Daily Reading Comprehension books present high interest, low readability stories
for every day of the school year. Each one-page story tells of a particular event
that happened on that date. Some events are well known—like Martin Luther King
Jr.’s birthday on January 15. Others are more obscure—like the first Academy
Award presentation on May 16. All stories are well-written, concise and
present reading levels at 3rd to 4th grade. Corresponding activity pages
assess reading comprehension skills. . Stories and activities can be
photocopied or printed from the PDF.
Daily Reading Comprehension books are arranged by date: Semester 1 takes
students from September through January 14; Semester 2 continues from
January 15 through May 31.
