With these high-interest, low-level readers students will be drawn to the featured 12 vivid photos for each short-vowel pattern. Word Families in the Real World, written by PCI's Kristine Lindsay, helps students decode text, develop vocabulary, and improve reading comprehension

FEATURES Covers short-vowel patterns in 120 words. Each 16-page reader addresses six one-syllable words on two-page spreads. Each word is in isolation with a photograph that depicts its meaning. On the adjacent page, the word is used in a simple sentence and shown by a photograph to identify the word in context.

Titles are: -ag, -am, -an, -ap, -at, -ed, -ell, -ent, -et, -ick, -ig, -in, -ing, -ip, -ock, -og, -op, -ot, -ug, and -ump.
