The FreeSwitch Max activates AC appliances with direct selection using either the keypad (or external switches such as the Pal Pad) and visual and auditory scanning. Direct Selection Appliances can be activated by touching the keypad or an external switch. For example, by connecting a Pal Pad to the input, the operator could touch a picture of a stereo on top of the Pal Pad and the stereo would turn on. Visual Scanning The FreeSwitch Max can visually scan through 8 different appliances. Auditory Scanning The FreeSwitch Max can auditorily scan through eight 5-second voice messages. Messages are heard through the built-in speaker or through headphones. Positive, inverse and two-button step scanning are available with a variable scan rate. With auditory scanning, when the FreeSwitch Max plays the phrase "radio on", the operator could press the keypad or their switch to select that response, which then would cause the radio to turn on. Separate transmitter and receiver units optimize safety AC devices can be operated from anywhere in the room and there are no power cords to worry about. Independent Channel Control All four channels on the transmitter unit control AC appliances in momentary, latching, and timing modes. Adjustable Timing Range Timing ranges from 1 second to 60 minutes. Transceiver Module Included Each FreeSwitch includes one X-10 transceiver unit. To activate more AC devices, simply purchase additional appliance modules (two-prong, three-prong, wall switch, chime, wall outlet and universal interface modules) separately.
